A monthly creative retainer built on a simple credit system. The tier you choose determines how much creative thinking comes with every deliverable — not how many you receive. Same volume, different depth.
How it works
Each month comes with 20 credits. Credits draw down as work is submitted — a static social post costs fewer credits than a motion graphic. All three tiers carry the same credit volume. The price reflects what's brought to the work: execution at Tier 1, art direction at Tier 2, full creative direction at Tier 3.

Rush surcharge is confirmed before work begins. No surprises on the invoice.
Rollover — 20% of unused monthly credits carry forward to the following month. Rollover credits expire at end of that month and do not accumulate further.
Additional revisions — any rounds beyond the included allocation draw from the monthly credit balance at the standard asset rate.
Workflow
All requests come through a structured intake form — no Slack, no email threads. Submissions close Monday EOD each week. One clear channel, every time.
Each brief is reviewed, costed in credits, and confirmed before work begins. Incomplete briefs get a clear list of what's missing — no back-and-forth guessing.
Work is built against the confirmed brief. Tier 02 and 03 jobs include documented creative direction before production begins — so you know what's coming before it arrives.
Drafts shared via Figma. Feedback is consolidated — all stakeholders comment before revisions begin. No drip feedback, no mid-revision pivots.
Final files delivered organised and ready to use — with a credit draw summary and balance remaining included with every handoff.
A credit summary at end of each month — usage, rollover, and anything worth flagging going into the next cycle.
Additional fees
One-time
Charged once per client onboarded. Covers brand kit audit, Figma workspace, templates, and project setup. Invoiced separately — work doesn't begin until setup is paid.
Add-on
Not included in any tier. Available as an add-on for clients who need editable files for in-house use. Template updates draw from the monthly credit balance.
Note
If your brand was built through the Identity project at mykal.co, the setup fee is waived. Your Figma brand system is already structured and ready to plug directly into the retainer workflow.
Payment
Invoiced on the 1st of each month. Due within 7 days. The retainer does not begin until the first invoice is paid. Setup fee invoiced separately before work begins.
30 days written notice to cancel from either party. Credits used to date are non-refundable. Scope is visual production only — copy is always supplied by you. Out-of-scope work is flagged before production begins, never absorbed silently.
The retainer works best when the brand is already built properly. The Identity project at mykal.co delivers a complete visual system — and for Tier 02 and 03 clients, the Figma files are structured to plug directly into this workflow from day one.
